Hi, I've always wanted a loop pedal, but never got around to actually getting it. What is a good value one to get and how much will that cost? what are the range of qualities of loop pedals.

if by loop you mean something that will allow you to record loops on the fly, check out the loopers-delight website. there is more than enough info there to help you weigh out your options.
i have a repeater and love it. they just released new operating system and new hardware should be available sometime in the fall...or you can try to get one of the old ones on ebay.
if you are talking about the looper company that makes true bypass pedals, there are a ton of different manufacturers out there that make them...search around.
