Love Songs Needed

oof... umm letsee...

almost anything by the Killers will do you fine...
literally anything by the Ataris fits the bill
one word: "Elvis"

Bionic - The Buzz poets
Speed of Love - Rush :D
Fell in Love with a Girl - White stripes (sorry :hmm: )
Give a little Bit - Supertramp

Funny love songs:

S E X X Y - They Might be Giants
Since You've been Gone - Wierd Al

Box Car Racer has alot of "love songs" I guess they'd be called, and Blinks new album, some of the songs fit the bill. Fall Out Boy - Sugar Were Going down counts in my book. Way Away by Yellow Card.

Thats about everything I can think of, If I think of more I'll come back though.

Like The Angel - Rise Against
Electric Baby - Mest
One Slowdance - Rufio
I Knew - Slick Shoes
Angel - Slick Shoes
Mushy Love Song - Tsunami Bomb

hey page, a band called Death Cab for Cutie did a cover of "Coney Island" and did a very good job

Do instrumentals count? One of these that I've always thought is very romantic-sounding is Frank Zappa's "Watermelon In Easter Hay". It's just a long guitar solo over a repeating chord progression, but the mood is adequate for a romantic music CD, IMO. And I know that "Watermelon In Easter Hay" isn't a romantic title, but coming from Zappa... fortunately he didn't come up with this title (another "sensitive instrumental ballad for late-nite easy listening" from him, according to the CD's liner notes) for this cool tune.

For the sappiest of the sappy (though they've worked for me before):

Get Up Kids - I'll Catch You
Rocket Summer - That's So You (sappiest song EVER, but I like it dammit!!!), Goodbye Waves and Driveways

For not-so-sappy yet always good:

Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
Dropkick Murphys - Forever
Emery - Ponytail Parades (if she tries to dump you, I guess), The Note From Which This Chord is Built

I also second on the Ataris one too. They've got some pretty nifty love songs too.
