Ok guys and dolls...A red Geddy Lee Jazz? Here's what I have done. I love the bright red color of
the Squire Affinity Jazz bass so...I bought one and did a body switch..Am I crazy..not really..the
bodies are the same cut and the same wood, (alder), So the bass has the affinity body and neck plate.
Bass has the Geddy neck..Badass bridge..Geddy pots, pickups and even the original cloth wiring.
Amazing low action and all the growl and sustain the Geddy is known for. Bass also
has new hipshot tuners installed installed.
Only problem is while installing the copper ground plate in the pot cavity..the screws went completely thru
the body...small pinpoint from smaller screw and slight chunk of wood from the bigger screw..
I must have tightened it too tight because I used the same hardware &*%#$@!) Ok enough of that.
Now before I get a cryer saying I'm gonna tell Geddy..I'm gonna tell Geddy.(yes I already had someone try to tell me I
messed up the bass and I was stupid), ..Fender gets 95% of its Alder wood from the pacific northwest..this includes
Squire, Mexican, Japan, and American models. What makes the geddy is pickups/pots and bridge...neck allows killer playability.
don't bother e-mailing me to complain..If you want your advice taken, you need to stand in front of a mirror..that's
the only person who will listen and believe your blah..blah..blah.
$750.00....Will come with an excellent cond Warwick Rockbag and
a Korg headstock tuner. Currently strung up with new Fender Flats.
Not looking for trades.
