Delighted with my new bluegrass gigging rig: K&K Bassmax > Acoustic Image Clarus SL > Revsound RS210 cabinet. Used it so far on two outdoor bluegrass gigs, several indoor rehearsals with a Western Swing/Classic Country band, and an outdoor dance gig with a six-piece Cajun band. Its proven reliable, easy to deploy (cab is compact vertical 30 lbs.), simple to use, and highly flexible used standalone or DI to the PA. High-pass filter on the AI is incredibly useful in taming boomy situations. The K&K piezo really benefits from the 10 Meg Ohm input. Most important, I think it sounds great and everyone else does, too. Mandolin player in the bluegrass band wants the Revsound cab right behind him at every gig from now on. Whole shebang ran about $1500. Most satisfying purchase I’ve made in a long time. Digital heads will come and go; a great cab is forever.
