Low Action

If you have any questions about maintaining your bass, specifically raising and lowering the action, please read Jerzy Drozd's Ultimate Setup Guide. It will answer all of your setup questions.
The Drozd Guide (as of the current edition, which as far as I can see is still at 1.0) neglects to provide templates for a 9.5" fingerboard radius, the most common bass fingerboard radius in the world. As such, it is not quite so useful to me.

His templates are not great in my opinion. Pretty much ignore that entire section and just use the knowledge sections. I just use a ruler off the frets which follows the radius, it works just as good.
