Low bass tone strings...

I play a 1978 vintage Fender Precision. I do not slap, thump, etc. Looking for strings that will provide me with a good low bass tone. I am not a fan of round wounds. Any thoughts?

LaBella DTF, or Dunlop flats come to mind.

Most flats (not Chromes or Cobalt Flats), LaBella black nylon tape wounds. GHS Precision Flats, La Bella Low Tension Flats (seem deeper than their Deep Talking Flats). Oh, Pyramid Gold Flats are very warm and thumpy.

Define "good low bass tone". Are you talking about "big and fat low" or "deep and focused low"?
