Low cost cabs

Is there any cabs out there which are lightweight, small and deliver a lot of punch to them ? I play in a post hardcore/hardcore punk kind of band and need a cab that can deliver a lot of aggression and punch while being small and easily portable to gigs. I use a GK 700rbii head with a 410 blx cab, the cab is too heavy and tends to get a bit too bassy at higher levels of volume. Bearing in mind I do live in the UK so I don't have access to cabs such as avatar and cant afford the big stuff like mesa, what is out there for me ?

While not exactly cheap low budget equipment, I have had very good experience with TC Electronics stuff. Their small Class D based amps (750 Watt wheighing 4 kgs) and small 2x10 or 2x12 cabs. They do have surprisingly powerful tone and punch for such small cabs. If you are going through the PA, at larger gigs then you could easily do with a single 2x12 cab. They are very easy to lug aroung and sound excellent.

While not the style your trying to get, I recently came to the realization that the only way to emulate mike watt's (minutemen) or Rob Wright's (NomeansNo) tone is to push the hell out of a solid state head. Trying to emulate it with expensive pedals just doesn't work.

So I crank my Acoustic 150 and turn the bass below 12 o'clock and I'm ready to go.

But now I'm just rambling.

Barefaced. Made in the UK. Not sure about cost, but they're good enough to buy once and be done with it. Over the long haul you'll actually end up spending less money.

The GK MBE series cabs are lightweight and low cost, not sure on quality as I haven't used them but have read good things. One thing to not is that I believe the MBE cabs do not have acoustic damping similar to the combos and as such adding a few bucks in foam padding or something reportedly improves the sound by removing some boom.
