Yeah the headstock is all black now. I kinda dig the all black headstock... its different then my other LEJ because those have matching burst on the headstock. Each LEJ that I have has something unique about it, and thats what I love.

Jonno, if that silver one you've got was used then it's the same one I had briefly. Great basses, eh?

I traded it in on a 6'er, which I've enjoyed so much that I have this 2nd 6'er currently on the way to me. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

They ship with stainless SITs. Probably the ones Beav mentioned.

I now have nickel Webstrings on mine. Brian might cringe reading that. I can't say they're necessarily my favourite or "the best" strings, but I can say I don't feel I'm missing anything other than expense by using them and I can easily afford much bett...errr ... more expensive strings.

Here's a short clip of yesterday's sound check. Let me know if it sounds like crap, but the strings seem fine to me. Bass is in passive mode, all knobs on "10", DI'd to the PA.

There you go. I thought SIT was some kind of fancypants costly brand.

I dig stainless too. Seems I alternate between stainless and nickel every 6 months or so.

Looks like my new LEJ will be arriving today. "On FedEx vehicle for delivery."

Will do. Maybe I'll make a new thread too, since I have two now.

I used the bass for a few hours in jamming tonight. Really excellent. Came with Brian's very sweet setup - low and fast action, and dead-on intonation.


Questions for LEJ owners with series/parallel switching :

- you have switches or push/pull to toggle?

- if push/pull, does the pot get loose very easily?

My experience is that push/pull pots a bit a loose, and only get more so over time and that bugs me. However the active/passive push/pull on my LEJ is really tight and as I was thinking of adding s/p switching via switches but if the pots on LEJ's are typically solid and stay solid with reasonable use, then I might save the hole drilling and go with push/pull pots.
