Low pass filter: need education

NEED MOAR EFFEXORZ.

Hello all,

The singer of my band recently quit, and with him went the entire PA and light show, our lead guitarist is getting back into school and I have horrific social anxiety for whatever reason. So now I have decided to start some recording projects, maybe some electronic stuff or whatever and I have decided that I need a low pass filter. The obvious choice seems to be the Moog given the versatility but I was curious what others are being used with [Borat] Great success [/Borat].

I have Fuzz for the sawtooth, I have octave, and I have several other offerings to be put in front of the almighty LPF but the final piece of the puzzle is missing...

Isn't most fuzz squarewave? Anyways.

I have had all of those. IE Xerograph DLX is a beast! It can do some awesome sounds. MeatWad has a bit of a learning curve, still awesome. Agent ooFunk, seems impossible to live with. Everytime I turned it on the settings seemed to change.
I currently use the BEF Pro. Has a ton of options, it has LFO control or tap tempo, as well as envelope.

Those are what I have experience with.

The BEF Pro does some trippy ****, but I dropped it as soon as I got the Xero Deluxe. The Xero is more of a one trick pony, but it twists my insides in ways the BEF can only dream about in 1s and 0s.

I have no exposure to the Moog, but I'd imagine it would be more tweakable than the Xero, so maybe sounds better?

I use the Moog religiously for both bass and synth applications. Nothing to say about the tone other than that it's unbelievable. Although many find it tricky to figure out, I think that most are comparing it to more standard envelope filters - the Moog is much more than that. As an all-in-one LP filter box, I think the Moog is extremely versatile and easily manipulated.

Not to mention, there's CV control for virtually every parameter, which is SICK for live performances.

Not sure if any of that answers your question. Bottom line for me is: I can't imagine what you could possibly want in a low-pass filter that the Moog doesn't have/do.
