ls-2 really worth getting to use as a blend pedal?

from what i've read it seems to work and is a fairly inexpensive way of blending in effects but is it really worth getting, does it work well with distortions etc? i've spent far to much on new kit recently but i've got gas for trying a blend on a few of my effects :(

I'd take syciprider's advice. The VFB works wonderfully for blending. With the LS-2, I'd have to say I was a bit disappointed. The blend didn't seem to work nearly as well.

To be fair, this isn't the primary function of this pedal, but it's what I most wanted to use it for. I haven't tried the Xotic, but so far Barge's blender is the best I've used.

For comparison, the Barge runs around $115 and the Boss is about $80.

ahh i see i live in the uk so the shipping charges soon tally up, although a LS-2 would work out at around the same price as the VFB would with shipping, i heard people wern't all to happy with with the xotic blend either? ahh damn think i'll have to wait till after christmas and take a plunge again :/ shame its hard to return stuff you bought from america

I've met a number of people who have the Xotic, and none of them had any complaints about the blend at all.

The only complaints I've run across with the X-Blender is it's price point and that other than the actual blend knob the controls are very small.

I would like if someone could use the blender with something like distortion in the blend circuit, start with it off and just pick constant 8th notes on a string (so we know what your tone with no blending anything is like), then turn it on with minimal blend on, and slowly (over like 20 seconds) bring the blend up to the max so we understand the full range.

If you catch my drift.

I'm getting an LS-2 for Christmas so I'll do that, but I'd really like to hear the VFB and/or xotic blender.

There are no problems with the Ls-2 IMOP. It is one pedal that I will never sell and it does not suck tone at all. Just get it. You won't regret it. If i would have known about this pedal years ago, I would have saved alot of money on gear.
