So I just got this bass and I'm liking it the only problem is that it seems as if the low B is a lot louder than the rest of the strings. For example If I play a D on the b string and the octave on the A string you can tell a huge difference In the tone. Why!? The neck is pretty straight. And slapping is even worse, it sounds dead. My MIM 60s reissue jazz bass has a lot louder tone to it.

Old strings? Low output from the pickups? I was eventually unhappy with my b-206sm because I couldn't get enough volume from the B string and I tried several different brands of strings and adjustments to the hardware.
