Double Bass Lyrics to Skip Hop and Wobble?

I don't mean to be a dick either (though, according to those around me, it seems to come naturally), but the title on the link I posted had was incorrect - the song's "Skip, Hop, and Wobble" , and, while the album "Skip, Hop, and Wobble" mentioned above is one of my favorites, there's no cut by that name on it.

Here's a link - not the best rendition, but the words are much clearer - Link Removed

Jimmy Martin's version does list it as Hop Skip and Wobble but that's not what he's singing.

I did notice right off that the song wasn't on the album, much as I love those guys.

I did find the recordings on youtube but I've never been able to understand lyrics when sung. I'm always missing one or two words that garble the sense of the lyrics. But I'll try it with headphones when I get home.

Thanks for the attempts.

Might make a nice Christmas present for somebody, and you can sneak a look at it first...

Here you go, Lil. Merry Christmas!

Skip, Hop and Wobble
As sung by Jimmy Martin

When summer comes I’m gonna take a vacation
I’m a-goin’ to another part of this nation
My old car’s gettin’ to look so old.
But I hope it’ll make it just the same
‘Til I pull right in to my daddy’s lane,
And I’m a-goin’ to let her skip, hop and wobble,
Rattle, ramble and roll

We’ll get into the Tennessee hills
We’ll hear the hummin’ of the old saw mills
Out of the mountain boys will be hauling coal
Well, I guess they’ve got about twenty takes,
They never worry about their brakes
And they just let ‘em skip, hop and wobble,
Rattle, ramble and roll

Well, all along the line I hear a freight train blowin’
And everywhere I look I see crops all growin’
I'm going’ home, on my home town I’m done sold
They’ll say Jimmy’s back, he’s not leavin’
I wanna be happy and never grievin’
And I’m a-goin’ to let ‘em skip, hop and wobble,
Rattle, ramble and roll

Well, I’m a-goin’ to let ‘em skip, hop and wobble,
Rattle, ramble and roll

WOW!!!! That's GREAT. I just got home and set up the computer and what to my wondering eyes did appear!!!!!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Pancha Ganapati to ALL.
THANK YOU!
You're very welcome. I did that at lunch.

I have a good ear for those guys ever since we did the 'John Reischman's Tribute to Bill Monroe' shows. We did a lot of the great material from the fifties bands with Jimmy Martin and Rudy Lyle.
