M-Audio Firewire 410 has LEAD!!!!

Alright guys, thanks. Will play with the box after work and record some stuff for you guys. Any tips on hooking up and using? I'm going bass->pedalboard->amp->Mic->Interface->Mac or PC.
What's your set-up Mac or PC? What software?

Firewire 410 comes with a software mixer as part of the driver package. This is separate and apart from the mixer in your recording software. This allows you to route signal to various places; to the record bus, to external processing loops, for monitoring through headphones or speakers, etc.

If you are new to multitrack recording, it takes a little getting used to. Keep in mind a mental picture of signal flow. ie I want my bass to go in to recording bus, I want to monitor existing tracks through either Headphones or speakers. The software mixer allows you to route those choices.

BTW, M-audio support is awesome.

Good luck and enjoy. Oh..... and post some tracks!
