Double Bass Mac users: Firefox and Safari crash!! Please help..

Hey everyone!

I got myself a new white macbook and firefox and safari keeps crashing wihen i visit Myspace and other sites that uses flash. I tried inactivating flash and then it works. How do I fix this? I got the latest versions of Safari and Firefox and the latest version of Flash...

Getting annoyed with this stalling business...

Doesn't happen with me. Safari crashes periodically for reasons that I can't pinpoint, but Firefox never does.

That being said, I don't spend a lot of time on MySpace anymore and I think the world would be a better place without Flash, despite the strong feelings of developers and advertizing geeks.

The best advice I can give is to go to the Mac discussion boards (or the Firefox/Mozilla ones). There's a huge community and I'm sure someone has solved this problem. Good luck.

Have you touched anything in the keychain? any of the anchors? that will sometimes do it.

Try deleting or moving the internet plugins folder ('Library\Internet Plug-Ins').

It seems to have worked for me. You'll need to install flash and any other plug-ins again though.

Yes, first step would be to reinstall the flash plug-in for both browsers to make sure they're up to date.

Then repair permissions using Disk Utility. Applications\Utilities.

Thanks for the advice guys,

reinstalling flash about 2 times seemed to do the trick.
