Macbook battery

I am looking to replace my MacBook battery. Anyone have experience with non apple batteries. If so can you recommend a place.

I replaced a battery in my old Macbook an ended up going with an official Apple battery. The price difference isn't much but the quality from what I read is worth the extra scratch. YMMV

I just went through this the macbook will only recognise apple proprietary batteries. After market batteries are only about $10 cheaper and don't work. Just go to the apple store or apple.com I think the shipping is free.

That's full blown baloney. I'm using an after market battery in my MBP that I got from Amazon. Works perfectly.
