Double Bass Made my own quiver (DIY)

Since I bought a new good all wood double bass. I moved the quiver from the old laminate bass to the new bass. However, I strongly needed a quiver mounted to my old bass as well, but I had trouble to find a "cheap" quiver to that bass. So I made my own quiver to fit to my old bass:

At first I only had light coloured leather strap material, but it did not look ok so I had to replac it with some black leather strap material instead.

I'm quite happy with my new DIY quiver.

Yes, the total cost of materials is just below $8 and the construction time is approx. 1 h now when I have the paper template at hands.

Impressive. You could sell those for several times that (tho I suspect the potential market limited.). Only possible suggestion would be to make the top edge cleaner. But yours is great and very functional.

I do the same, Don, for the reason you state. Of course, I also have the curved end towards the FB (not out of preference, just ignorance and lack of attention when I bought both.). I'm rarely doing really fast switches in/out of the quiver, so not sure it matters much.

I allways make fast switches in/out of the quiver so I need to have the bow that way.
