Making a focusrite output in “stereo”

So I have a focusrite Clarett+ Just started to use it today and messed around in the editor a bit but I have not been able to solve one issue.

Right now I’m doing the trick suggested by some others where I’m making videos on my iPhone and iPad, but using the Apple camera adapter plugged into the iPhone only after video is selected to use the Clarett as the sound input for that video. This works great, except… It only comes through one channel. Channel one is left, channel 2 is right.

Ideally, I would like for the bass plugged into channel 1 or the Clarett to give the iPhone a signal for both left and right. I could use a P split and just do it that way, but I’d like to have a microphone into input number two so I can talk to the nice people.

anybody with experience with this dilemma and has found a solution?


I know of course I could use a DAW and record video and then sync the two together and blah blah blah but I would love to be able to do this a little easier.

Well, problem half solved. I was able to find finally on the Internet the idea that I should switch the settings on the camera in my iPhone to recording a mono signal. So now I instantly get channel one of the Focusrite in both sides of my headphone mix on the iPhone. This is great. I don’t get channel 2 at all. Prior to that I was able to record both inputs from the focus right into the iPhone, but they were just simply go to the left and right channel. I’m hoping there’s a setting that I can adjust somewhere so I can actually get both channels on the iPhone.
