Malekko Omicorn Chorus

Hey Guys,

I've made a few posts recently about mini pedals and the Malekko range has come up a few times with very positive comments.

I was considering getting the Malekko Omicron Chorus (favouring it over the TC Electronic Corona).

That being said the reviews on the online retailer sites aren't that positive, mainly around reliability and issues running it on 9v. Has anyone owned the Malekko that can let me know their experiences here and how well it works for bass on 9v (I'm using a 1 spot with 4 other pedals).

I've ruled out the Analogman Chorus, although the most highly rated from what I've seen searching through these boards it's a $100 more than the Omicron and I can't justify that.

The review may have been about the older run of them. That being said, it's a good, reliable chorus. The tone is similar to the old Boss CE-2, but not quite as subtle. At 18V, the headroom makes for a nice shimmer with a wide frequency response.

There's a fair amount of the AnalogMan ones available used these days. I feel like I saw one yesterday in the classifieds...

I've never tried it but +1 for running it at 18v — I tried their vibrato and the headroom was way too low at 9v.
