Man, I just realized how ugly my couch is....

Ha, bien vu! That said, only in NYC for another week or so, moving to Zurich!
The couch looks fine, and the Basses do class it up a bit, to be sure. My own sense of perspective and style is thrown off a bit, because my grandmother was a crochet/ knit-a-holic, and to this day, I’m still not used to seeing a couch that doesn’t have an Afghan Blanket laid across the back, Lol.
The one thing that appears to be missing from the mid-century stuff in the background is a Tiki mug. Shoot me a PM if you’d like one. (I’m serious, btw.)

The fence is way prettier.
The left side and middle of the couch are nice - not sure what happened to the right side, nothing a refin can’t fix

That Tele bass in the middle!
I'm currently in the market for a more modern bass (humbuckers with active preamp kind of thing) to complement my passive basses... and I generally don't like any non-natural relic-ing of basses.... so why do I get gas every time a see a tele style bass like this or the OP's?

Hopefully the couch isn’t as ugly as it was before.
So the basses are nice but the "Big Jim" gorilla on the table in the back -- I used to have one!!
Typical Funny-guy Jazz Bass with the lampshade on his headstock.... Always the life of the party.
I'm thinking I need to find a second hand tele-style neck and a cheap Pbass body and do something like this myself.
