A chaotic scene was found at the South Antec street Thorntons in New Albany on Tuesday. After filling his White Volvo, Mr. Bill Young spilled gas down his left sleeve. Ignoring it, Mr. Young preceded to get in his car and light a cigarette. The cigarette lit his arm on fire and Mr. Young ran from his vehicle, waving his arm. Officer Neal was patrolling South Antec St. at the time. Seeing Mr. Young in distress, Officer Neal proceeded to open fire on Mr. Young. A total of 4 shots were fired and Mr. Young was hit twice in the stomach. Mr. Young is in critical care at Nortons Louisville, Doctors will not comment on any specifics. Officer Neal has been tooking into custody by the Indiana State Police. The New Albany Police refuse to comment. When Officer Neal was aked at the scene of the crime why he had opened fire, he responded,"The man was waving a firearm."
