Managment for a session musician

Hey JMJ

Just wanted to ask a brief question about the what the benefits of having a manager are for a session musician such as yourself i.e. does it help on a purely organizational level or does it benefit in other areas as well.

It helps if you're busy enough....otherwise it's a little bit unnecessary. I wouldn't have a manager if I didn't have a producer/writer/MD career to take care of, to be frank. It's just not super vital, unless you're working all day every day.
