Marching band bassists

I also played tuba for a year in the Jr. High band. Do have a friend of mine that is a Gockenklang/Alembic/Vigier endorser that played bass in the marching band. He also had the "amp pusher" going with him. I bet it would suck being the "amp pusher." There must have been 6-8 car batteries, an 8x10, plus a head on that thing.
 
I did have the pleasure of seeing the Alabama marching band warming up before the Bama/LSU game. They had a bass player in the front with percussion and a regular trap kit. You could hear them in the front, but don't know about the stadium. I was very impressed with the band's professionalism. They sang their alma mater a capella that was impressive as well. They also had a blonde twirler that was insanely HOT!!
 
My son was last year....now he's in college.

Some of the best times of my life.

I had no trouble hearing him with a 1x15 Peavey except when they didn't turn it up enough. Remember, it's not a rock concert.
