Marcus Miller 4 string Fender USA?

He just sent me a picture of the headstock which confirms, Made in Japan. Still not sure where he got the USA part. Not going to ask either. Thanks again guys!!!

I feel the price is about $300 too high +/- a little bit. But these are very nice basses.

The price is indeed high but I think these are worth playing a premium for. They're not gonna be easy to find in the future. (I'm not the seller).

I zoomed in and it sure looks like Made in Japan but it is blurry. Hit CTRL plus + to zoom in on the picture. The 3rd word looks too long to be USA. I have some other Marcus necks say S/N before the serial # instead of spelling it out like on my neck. I also can't guarantee that all of the MIJ's had the writing on the back of neck.

That's rad !! I didn't know about the zooming in feature. I tried it and it works. I love that. Thanks. Made in Japan, by the way. They never made Marcus Miller basses in USA anyway. Now they are MIM just like the Geddy Lee signature basses. So of course the MIJ's are more desirable than MIM. MIJ is always good though.

The used japanese mm jazz that i recently tried at guitar center (14th st.) had a '70s style neck and there was nothing to describe as "works of art" at all.
I would never trade my 08 am. std. jazz for a mij or mim mm jazz. Also I am very happy with my "marcus" bass as well.

That's a Beautiful '78. I am sure OP will be quite happy with his new MM. There are a lot of built in extras such as the Binding & Blocks, Active Preamp, Vintage Style tuners to name a few. IMO they really set the M/M apart from the American standard. They are both very nice just different animals.

Take into consideration my selling a 60th anniversary P Bass USA Deluxe to have money to buy a Marcus Miller MIJ (which will be my second one, meaning I will currently have 2 of them) says that I prefer a bass I like to cost of said bass. To each their own though, and they don't make MM anymore, and I will always be able to purchase an American Standard any time any where.

I agree the necks are beautiful and comfortable and fast!!
