Mark Bass Richard Bona 2x12 cab upgrade help

I picked up this 2x12 cabinet hoping to save room. To be honest it moves air pretty well on the low end, but the mid/high lacks considerably.

Has anyone done an upgrade like im lookin to do, which is replace the cheezy piezo tweeter with a mid/high-pass driver and add crossover?
Im looking at various speakers from places like Eminence, and ive got the world at my fingertips with shopping results for a 3 or 5K hi-pass...
I need some product advice.

Well, then it wouldn’t be a Richard Bona cabinet!

What don’t you like specifically? You might be better off playing some different cabinets to find something you like without experimenting and guessing. This is IMO and IME.

Did you buy this cab NEW? No piezo tweeter in this cabinet and I can't imagine Richard Bona using a cabinet that lacks mids/highs.
There is likely something wrong with the cab or your head is not properly EQd or malfunctioning.

I did buy new and thats why i havent even considered a malfunction. or possible since Im using it on a speaker out from a CMD 121 that may not have that mid/high capability. (that you sent, BTW that sounds like the ad i read that got me interested in this cab in the first place!)

That's a LittleMark head and should have plenty of mids/highs. I really think you've got a malfunction somewhere. Are you using good speaker cords. Neutrik??

Markbass Ninja 122 vs Traveler 123: Which is better????
I dunno if I had a problem or not. I returned it to guitar world town center and got all my $$ back.
I replaced it with a traveler 123 and thats what I was lookin for!! talk about a capable speaker cabinet.
and all the same cables and other equip. Maybe there was a failure but ill never know, haha or care!
thanks for talking me out of hackin it up. (I was a little out of warranty, but they gave me a pretty cool exception)

I'm sure you had a problem of some sort but your new cabinet is very nice! Glad you're getting your sound now.
