I honestly wouldn't think too much about it. Sometimes you can get bogged down with details that just plain don't matter unless you are trying to run a studio, and even then.

I don't think SVTs are super sensitive to tube rolling. What quality in his tone do you think is unusual for an SVT CL?

V1 preamp is the only one I hear any difference whatsoever when I swap tubes around.

Looks like he already sold it. All that's left are a few keyboards and some API and Avid studio stuff.

It's probably a standard CL. I think that they would have said in the video if it had anything special done to it.

He must have meant JJ 6550's, as SVT's don't use 6L6's. I have JJ's in my HSVT-CL...been fine for 6 years now.

Right around a couple hundy for a full set. Maybe a little more if you want them matched and if you want the supplier to do a burn-in (IMHO, you do...matching makes them work more efficiently, and the burn-in weeds out the tubes that will crap out on you right away).
