Hey, does anyone know what tubes Mark Hoppus uses in his Ampeg SVT CL amp heads?
V1 preamp is the only one I hear any difference whatsoever when I swap tubes around.I don't think SVTs are super sensitive to tube rolling. What quality in his tone do you think is unusual for an SVT CL?

Looks like he already sold it. All that's left are a few keyboards and some API and Avid studio stuff. He's selling it. You can buy the amp and see.

Well thanks for sharing the info!Just found out off the man himself from his reverb shop!! Cheers for the help fellas
He must have meant JJ 6550's, as SVT's don't use 6L6's. I have JJ's in my HSVT-CL...been fine for 6 years now.I believe it was JJ 6L6's
Thanks!
That was Mr Hoppus's reply gents
Right around a couple hundy for a full set. Maybe a little more if you want them matched and if you want the supplier to do a burn-in (IMHO, you do...matching makes them work more efficiently, and the burn-in weeds out the tubes that will crap out on you right away).Happy days, I'll give them a shot. How much damage are we looking at for a set?
