They’re in better shape because there’s so many of them, few if any likely seeing that much playing time. In contrast, Rory Gallagher had one Strat that became the poster child for relicing…Because he isn't playing them much anymore (and some is going to charity). Also, I imagine this way he can detail every guitar, both to maximize returns, and so the buyer knows what they are getting.
I notice every instrument seems in very good condition. See, you can play them hard for years without beating them to @#^$@!.
