I own two MB58R cabs and Tuki covers for them. they offer great protection, but are sometimes a pain to put on or off and take lots of storage space. recently I looked up into covers that MarkBass offers and they offer three lines:
1. Light. I believe, that's unpadded, so I don't really consider it.
2. Standard. Similar to Tuki covers, I believe, a bit thinner and without a bottom strap.
3. new 'AirMesh' line which I'm interested in.
so, the AirMesh ones should have some padding, but not as robust as 'Standard' or Tuki covers. but they're lighter, more flexible and probably easier to use.
my question is: did anyone have a chance to try those covers (or any other 'airmesh' covers for other cabs)? do they really offer some protection and how you'd estimate it compared to standard padded covers?
my use case is not that tough: I need a cover to throw a cab on the backseat or in a trunk. no touring when other people will throw it around, but a protection to other things accidentally bump or scratch the cab while in transport. so I'm basically debating if a lighter cover would do for me or if I'm safer with the thick padded covers I already have.
so anyone has an opinion on airmesh covers? thanks.
