Markbass Black Line NY151 vs NY151

Hi there Talkbassers,

I've been trying to research the Markbass Black Line version of the NY151 cab but I have found nothing about it - unfortunately, the local dealer does not have it, so I cannot try it. The only difference to the standard NY version seems to be a traditional magnet instead of a neodymium one which results in a bit less wattage and bit more weight.

Anyone using one or having experiences with it?

I own a NY 151 and have enjoyed it for years. I have played the Black Line version twice and did not like the tone at all.

In summary I would recommend you pay a little more for the New York version and enjoy its great tone and good portability.
The top handle on this cab is great too.

At the original NY price range I would probably go for an Epifani PS 112 but they are too hard to get by here on the eastern side of Europe
