This is mostly a feeler I suppose. I have a Markbass cmd121p combo, but the amp died on me a while back. Blew a fuse, and blows subsequent fuses that I have installed. Did some research, and found that these amps (Combo Head II and Little Marks, basically the same thing) tend to do this. I haven't tried to go to Guitar Center or anywhere and get it fixed, as it sounds like the repairs are about as much as buying a used Markbass replacement head would be. Honestly, while it was a great sounding amp, I don't really need it since I just play around the house. However, while it looks nice sitting in my office, it's not really doing me any good.
I still may keep it and just buy a new head down the road, because it is a great cab still, I figure if someone else wants it to use as a cab with a head they may already have or maybe they have a Little Mark head laying around and wants to slap it in, I could use the money instead.
Again, the amp head DOES NOT WORK! The speaker/cab is 100% functional, and there is no damage anywhere. The amp has just sat in my office, never gigged by me (bought it used off GC's site, but came to me in like-new condition with stickers still on it and everything, so I'm speculating the prior owner didn't gig it either, or at least barely did). So as it is, the head is still installed, as I have not tried removing it or fixing it or anything. I did test the speaker by hooking it up to another amp (just enough length in the cable to butt the amp and this cab back-to-back and be able to connect), and it still sounds great!
The cable to connect the amp to the cab is pretty short, so the best bet would be to replace the head with a like-unit (again, combo head or little mark), but I also have a 1/4" double female adapter and a 3 foot 1/4" speaker cable included to effectively make this a quality cab on its own. Or, as I've considered doing, buying any micro head that's same size or smaller than the combo head and making some sort of bracket to set it in the hole that the stock head uses, and it might reach then? No guarantees, haven't tried, but if I don't sell it, it's what I'm considering.
Anyway, looking for $300, local only at this point (Southeast Texas near Beaumont, but I do travel through Texas and Louisiana a bit, usually around Houston, Austin, Lake Charles, and Baton Rouge. However, they aren't regular/scheduled trips, so no telling when I'll be there next). I'd prefer not to ship this as it's big and bulky, but if you really really want it, I can get a quote and you can cover shipping. May (will) contain dog hair.
