No. Unless the cabs daisy-chain in series, which would be very unusual. Generally, it is a parallel connection, which works the same as connecting two cabs with separate output jacks.

The easiest way would be to get in touch with the manufacturer. It might be in the user manual, which is unfortunately not available on their site.

Hey Cameron,

The tubes used in the LMTube, from what I understand, are small (not the standard 12ax7) and I believe they are actually hardwired in (non swappable). I believe that's one of the reasons many of us hear little difference between the tube and SS mode of these particulate amps, other than the dual tube/solid state pre's volume summing when each pre is set at 50%.

Sounds nice though, and the extra features of the LMTube are probably worth it for some.

I forgot about that. That was the first time I had seen that. I guess they're making small tubes for micro amps now...cool.

No, unless it is a HIGHLY unusual series connection. 99%+ of cabs with dual input/outputs are wired in parallel, making the daisy chaining of cabs identical to running out of two separate outputs of an amp. Zero issue!

Hardwired tube? What happens when the tube is burned out?

Preamp tubes virually never burn out. And, my guess is, the execution of this tube circuit is more like the Eden thing, where the tube, quite frankly, does very little (The Eden tube does not vary voltage or whatever, which is why the gain control works much more like a solid state amp than true 'tube driven' pre executions like Mesa or whatever.

Again, if you are looking for an amp with a tube preamp, I would not really look to Markbass. However, their solid state pre's sound more fat and warm than many tube pre hybrids I've played.

I kid, KJung - you've been a most informative resource on MB products within these environs, and thank you for it. I recently purchased an LMT800 and find it quite satisfactory for my needs.

Coming up on 7 years of owning a LMT 800, and I've never heard any fan noise from the head, either at a gig or in quiet solo practice. Your experience might vary, of course.
