Markbass Mini CMD 121P

In my quest for a smaller rig I tried out the markbass Mini CMD 121P. I was blow away by the sound and power from such a small unit. I had not heard about this manufacture since I had not purchased gear in many years.

How do these mini rigs hold up with regular use?

Do they handle a 5-string with lots of time on the low end well?

Other bits of info would be great.

I can't speak towards the longevity of the amp since I've only had it since November, but as far as the power and quality of the unit I'm way beyond impressed. It almost doesn't seem possible that such a tiny box can provide the coverage it does

I have used the amp on 14 gigs since I got it and I haven't had any problems of any sort. I only play 6's & 7's and the low end tone, clarity and projection is excellent. I play mostly jazz and classic rock in two trio's. I'm completely impressed ....

Ditto on my 5 string in my 5 piece band. Most of us add a second cabinet for big gigs but do a search here for the cmd121p and you'll find a ton of strings, this had been talked about like crazy.

My experiences mirror the others, although I have taken to adding a B-15N cab on the bottom for larger gigs just to add that layer of low freqs. It's not neccesary, but I like it.
