Markbass Octavers: two different models - do they perform the same?

There seems to be a fair amount of info on the "MB" model. It appears the other model is (was) for Canada & Europe. Anyone have experience with the latter of the two or better yet a direct comparison?

Well, even if they did, they're not in production currently, hence the reason they're not on the Markbass site. If they made them, they only did a handful.
