Amplification with the headroom MB seems to have could be problematic for different players when soloed. I EQ mine the same at home as I do on gigs... meaning I don't EQ it either place.

If you're not careful the volume can get out of hand when you're alone. That can emphasize lots of thing you might not want to hear.

So what we're saying is that none of you can play a solo by yourself in the middle of a gig.

not me my markbass sounds excellent with and without a band. i think it depends what bass your using. a fodera wont sound bad alone with a MB amp

Personally I prefer them here in the amps forum - it IS an amp after all! I spend way too much time reading just the amps forum as it is. Stuff isn't getting done that should be. IMO there seems to be too much splitting off being done. Next we'll have a Tube Amp forum, a SS Amp forum, a Hybrid Amp forum, Class D Amp forum etc etc etc.
