MarkBass small size, huge sound

No experience with the combos, but my LMIII is 14 years old and has been used at gigs + rehearsal (for a long time it was my only amp head). The F1 Limited is 18 years old and still working fine at my rehearsal space for the past year. Both of my 2x10" cabs have survived the same, I keep the 4 ohm one at the rehearsal space and gig the other when the venue is small. Maybe I'm the outlier?

After doing a bit of research, I have a question for those of you who have had issues with Markbass amps.

There are many players who kept their amp heads off the speaker cabinets, to prevent speaker vibration from doing damage. And some of the Markbass amp issues I'm seeing out there are things like broken solder joints, things that might occur if there's too much vibration. Sooo….

Have any of you who use a separate head experienced issues with the head? If so, do you keep the head on the speaker or off?

And if you're someone who keeps their amp heads head off the speaker cabinet, have you had any reliability issues with the amp?

The only issue I had was a 1.5Y layoff because my band leaders were obsessed with Covid-19 and so the amp sat. The capacitors got a little "dry" I think, and it had some issues with being its normal self in power output. But, after being 'on' for a half hour or so it has been fine ever since, and that was a few years ago as you'd expect.

Meanwhile I had covid-19 five times in all, fully vaccinated. That's another story but I have regrets.
