MarkBass Traveler 151P ?

Anybody care to offer a review on one of these?

I have a LMII that I'm currently using to drive the Traveler 102P (2x10). I'm thinking of adding another 8ohm cab to my collection to pair with this set-up. I'd also like to be able to use it stand alone for smaller bluesy, blues-rock kind of stuff.

I'm looking for suggestions, recommendations, etc. :help:

THANKS

I can't help you with a review on 151P (I guess it will be great). I also have the 102P which I combine with the Standard 102HF in order to get a very flexible monster 410. I wrote about it in another thread http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=523489&highlight=markbass&page=2

The 102HF will allow you to become more physical in the low (your pants will blow in the wind). The 102P+102HF work great together – find a dealer and check it out.

hey there,

I have a Traveler 151P that I use in with a LMII head. This cab sounds AWESOME. It took me a while to get used to the voicing of this cab, which is on the mellow, more motown-y kind of vibe, but I love where the high mids sit in the mix, and the lows through the LMII are super clear yet fat and warm. Its not loud enough to rock without PA support on most gigs for me, but I'm looking to get another one and I expect to use that rig more often than my Trace V6 all tube head and Trace 2x15....basically if you love the sound of your bass and want to hear it louder, warmer, and clearer, do it! But I would recommend 2 of them for bigger gigs....

can't comment on the 15 cab but i had the 102P and used it stand alone and served me extremely well through hundreds of gigs, only sold it to move to a schroeder cab setup, and kind of miss it!

I don't have the 102p but I had the 2x10 combo with a 151p and it was ok but I liked the voicing if the 15 better so I took the combo back and bought a LMIII and another 151p and Love It!! You won't rock any arena but I use either one or two cabs, depending on inside or outside, for Rock Country Blues Pop WHATEVER and my sound is tight and focused. Not sure why but they seem to sound best on their side ESPECIALLY when stacked.

I had two 151p,s! still have one that I use with a LMIII. Good cab. gets quite loud. I agree with Mitchthebassplayer. definitely a motown vibe. I ended up getting two for volume and an attempt to get that old school rock tone, with limited success. I love the lows it puts out and how smooth it is. but certainly doest have the punch of two 102p,s stacked vertically. I mixed the 210 with the 15. I even tied two 102's and two 151's pushed by two LMIII's now that was a tower!! but……. in the end I must agree with most here. The 15 sounded best with a matching cab. same goes for the 102p. I still use the two 102p's stacked vertically with a orange terror 500. that was my favorite of the combonations
