Marshall Bass 200

I'm not familar with that model! :help:

Back in the late '60s? There was a 200 watt tube head called the 200. It had active Bass and Treble controls and an odd narrow control panel. That's the one that was nicknamed "The Pig". After that went away, Marshall came out with a 200 watt head (two of them actually guitar and bass versions) with a traditional passive tone stack and presence control called the Marshall Major.

Just visited Google...

Here's a photo of the Marshall 200 aka The Pig

Link Removed Note the narrow control panel and only three knobs (Volume, Bass, Treble)

Tube amps will display the large "bottles" of the output tubes and have a easily removable panel for tube service. With just a preamp tube they still need ventilation but can be harder to get to for service needs. Power tubes need a lot of air flow that is why they are easily seen from the back and/or front.
