Yesterday I bought myself a Invalid Link Removed, and the Invalid Link Removed to play it through. I'm really happy with the combination of the two, I think they sound great.
One thing is their size, since they're seperate units - they're easy enough to cart around individually, but when stacked they're pretty hefty. The cab in particular is a little on the large, heavy side.
To lug them up and down a flight of stairs in my house is a bit much after each practice, so I've been considering keeping them in the garage. Does anybody do else keep their gear in a garage?
What are the potential problems with doing this, relating to this environment - ie damp, temperature etc? And what measures could I take towards keeping the amp safe and in good condition for as long as I can?
The amp head has a classic channel with valves in it - I've never owned anything other that transistor amps before, and I've never owned an amp with a seperate speaker before either.
Could somebody please either point me in the direction of, or provide me with a guide to all of the conventions and techniques used to preserve an amp for as long as possible. (For instance; How do you care for an amp like this, eg: Turn this down before switching that - keep this channel at this volume - make sure that is/isn't plugged in when you do whatever... ect)?
