I have a quick question. I have a cream, with tort pg, Fender Deluxe Active Jazz bass and was wondering if I could get a matching battery compartment cover that corresponds with the pg. Ive seen them on basses on TB before, but never got around to asking. Is there a website? Way to make one?

Nino Valenti has started putting them on his amazing basses.

You'll obviously have to make your own cover, so you can get a sheet of tort material from places like Stewart Mac, and probably Warmoth or pickguards.com and such.

Yeah, you may think that, but there are the Elite Few that people wait to post on their threads. And seeing that that bhass was the inspiration for my idea, thank you.

Brett, thanks for posting this. What a cool cool bass. The vintage tint on the neck is so perfect. :bassist:
And yes, you had to...but that is a good thing! :hyper:

Again there is no elite on this forum.. There is a bunch of guys who all share the same feeling toward holding down a groove.

I am no different then you trust me :)

Alright, youre right. It just feels like there are the more experienced members who you see on every thread, and the inexperienced who just share opinions. I may be rambling on, but back to the matching battery compartment. Does anyone on here know of a fellow TB'er who could make me one? Id be willing to pay, but I dont know of anyone. Ibanezcollector, did you make your own?

Mine was made by Nino it was his idea a little surprise for me.. It was originally going to be black..

All the credit goes to Nino not me haha...

You could post in the luthiers section anyone with a sheet of tort or whatever and router could use your old one as a template and cut you one.

I dont own a router so I cant..

Luthiers Corner is like a desert. Compared to the bass forum itself, its just barren. I havent gotten one response yet.

Thats true, seeing that Im still awaiting my first gig, Im not accustomed. Eastern Ohio isnt to big into small town gigging, esp. when there are 0 other musicians who dont pay country or death metal. Thanks for the Reminder though Mr. Carr.

IF i were to make my own, what would be needed? Im not sure if my dad has a router, but other than that. The tort piece itself, the template from the old cover, and a router. Anything else?
