Matching volume using 2 different power amps

I am running dual mono subs and just got another used amp courtesy of the TB classifieds.
My 1st question is if 1 amp is 2400 watts and the other is 3000 watts, how much different will the volume be?

My second question is there decent way to match the outputs?

qsc plx 2402 and 3002 if it matters...both running 4 ohm mono.

Get an SPL meter, and solo each sub individually.

You don't know the taper on the amp attenuators, so figuring it w/ math is probably useless.

Or you could just do it by ear, by estimation. Simpler, and how important is matching the outputs anyway?

No need for an SPL meter. Those two models both have the same gain. Set the gain controls the same on both amps and they'll both produce the same output if you put the same input signal into them.

The PLX3002 will clip at a little bit higher output voltage than the PLX2402 will.
