I have a Squire Matt Freeman. Plays nicely. I take it on every 5th gig or so. (When there were gigs)
To me it’s just the feel and playability. To me, it truly feels like it should be a 1k plus bass, but it’s not.
Hahaha when there were gigs. I’m definitely debating not taking out out a ton, this ones mint so. The white one is my unicorn tho, I want that sooooo bad
Just was wondering,does a signature bass play,or sound better than a parts bass? No offense intended,but just never thought a signature bass played any better,than some of the parts basses,I have played. I finally came to the conclusion,it is not the bass,it is the player. Been playing over 50 years,still learning.

I’m curious about the significance of the build. Certain neck profile? Special fretwork? What are the features that set it apart from the others in P-bass world?
Incredibly smooth and comfy neck (if you like gloss). Sweet aggressive stock tone (even though I changed out for Geezers). That nice high mass bridge. Solid tuners. I have put a number of American made instruments back on the hanger in music stores because they didn't feel as good as the MF.
Then couple that with the fact it cost $399, and now are hard to find. It's just amazing value really.
Congrats on the bass. I've owned one of these for awhile and it was my main bass. It is probably one of the best Sub-$400 basses ever made IMO. I loved it so much I bought it twice, but have since gotten rid of both. I really wish I didn't.
Nice! This is probably the only Pbass I would consider buying (they just arent 'my thing') mostly because I'm a Rancid fan. I should have jumped on the black one when they came out.
I never knew they came in any other colour than white. Is the nut width 1 3/4” or 1 5/8” ?.
