I am not going to look it up, but I believe that a lot of studio guys played on their big disco hits.
I own the LP / vinyl of Spirits Having Flown, which includes "Love You Inside Out". The credits say Maurice played bass on the record, but also list Harold Cowart as an "additional musician" playing bass. My money is on Maurice playing bass on that specific track, and most of the tracks.
FWIW, Maurice played bass for the Bee Gees live shows too. Reference the Here at Last Bee Gees Live recorded in 1976.

There was a thread on him a few months back. He played bass on most of the BeeGee's tracks. More than I figured he did anyway.
I know he played at least once or more on every Bee Gee's album released, but I'd say he probably was 80% of the time their main bass player during their sessions or live concerts.
As for "Love You Inside Out," from their 1979 album, "Spirits Having Flown," he is credit as a bass player on that album, along with another bassist by the name of Harold Cowart. I'm not sure if it was him or Maurice who played on that track so I guess that's up to you to see because I can really tell. I also know Cowart played on some of Andy Gibb's records so he must've been someone they had come and play for them from time to time! He also played on a Thunder Island by Jay Ferguson in '77, that song is awesome, but that bass line is one of my favorites!

Despite being credited as an extra on Spirits Having flown, its Harold Cowart we hear playing bass throughout the album (except the title track), including ‘love you inside and out’. My understanding is that Maurice focussed on the production of the album for Spirits. Both were phenomenal players. Harold played for the full 1979 Bee Gees spirits tour. Those not familiar with Harolds playing should check him laying it down on his Fender Precision during the Spirits Tour on YouTube. Look for the Reelin in Years remasters.
