Hi, I have an old Ibanez sr406 (6-string) with ~EMG 40 sized pickup routes for which I am considering Lace Bass Bar 4.0 pickups.
I have noticed that some pickups have maximum string spacing specifications that are smaller than the width of their pickup housing. Lace does not state the maximum string spacing for their Bass Bars and suggest the 4.0 size for 4 or 5 string basses (though, I understand this may just reflect convention).
Has anyone tried the 4.0 Bass Bar pickups in a 6 string bass with 16.5mm (82.5mm total) spacing at the bridge?
