My new Mayones Cali 4 Mini Bass was delivered this morning.
weird and cool
I like it!
Or just cool.
I noticed these before. I would be interested in one for a trip overseas. I hope to do some sort of research or exchange in Africa again before I retire. It would be really cool to go to Mali, Senegal, Gambia, or Guinea, since these are countries with such cool music. A mini bass would be great for travel. This seems cost about as much as the most expensive Kala U basses.
I know this is a thread derail, but it is worth noting that the Mayones comes stock a bridge looks to be easily intonated.
+ 1 as in "my thoughts exactly".
Play it in good health and enjoy!
Yes the bridge is easier to intonate than my other three basses.
The Kala looks a bit longer than my Cali 4 but the Kala is a nice bass.
I’m expecting Cali baby bass in September! It’s still in utero
I started out playing violin - very short scale. Looks like some of you are wandering into my old turf. What do those things typically get tuned to?
