MB500 Issue?

Good practice last night for close to three hours. I did plug in my chorus pedal and no honks. Next practice I'm going to use my longer cable which goes from the chorus pedal to the amp - this should be my last variable to test. Will report back next week.

Longer cable from chorus pedal yielded no honks at last night's practice. With the elimination process, I'd have to say it was the contour knob however more recently I decided my horns were causing my tone to be a bit 'too bright' so I've reduced the volume to below -2dbs (about 8:00 o'clock).

A year(+) has passed and no honks. Even reading my own notes here I'm not sure why I did not conclude it had to have been the Boss LMB-3. Bongo's notes said he had similar complaints but it didn't occur when he tested. He also said he had tested with passive basses so I'm not sure if active basses are the difference and send a really hot signal which the LMB-3 has a hard time constantly compressing.
That said, I have continued to have the MB 500 contour turned down to zero.
