mbox2 and mac leopard compatibility??

    So I want to buy an mbox2 but i realized my macbook is running 10.5(leopard) and I heard mboxs wont run on leopard, is this still true?

    MBox 2 is just hardware so Leopard doesn't care. What does matter is the version of Pro Tools you are installing. For Leopard you need PT 7.4.2 and it still has problems with Leopard. The MBox drivers in 7.4.2 can cause other app's that use audio to freeze up and require a cold boot. Lots of posts on this on the DUC forum you might want to check them out first.

    Yeah. I've used my mbox in Leopard with Garageband and Ableton Live in 10.5. No problem.

    Haven't had any issues with my iMac and PT LE/Mbox 2 yet. Just upgraded to ProTools 8 but haven't heavily used it yet so the jury is still out. I use the latest (10.5.5?) Leopard offering.
