Medium Scale Archtop recommendations

So I recently bought a Dean Stylist and I am wondering what type of strings would sound best.

I am very much considering the Labella Deep Talkin Tapewounds, but I am also open to other suggestions. I think the tapewounds will bring a nice mellow tone from the archtop. If anyone would recommend something other than tapewounds, what kind of difference in tone would I get from the suggested strings?

Second question: I have heard that some trapezoidal bridges call for longer strings. As stated, the Stylist is a 32" scale and I was wondering if the medium scale strings fit well with the bridge as shown below or should I use the long scale strings?
