Medium Scale Basses?

Okay,

Now that my short scale bass project is underway, I have a new project. I'm now looking for a mid-scale bass and I know of very few. So, if anyone has any recommendations, let's get them rolling in, I have a feeling that this might be a long search.

Cheers,
TC

Believe it or not, someone just posted a decent-sized list of medium scale basses just a couple of hours ago. Shouldn't be hard to find. Also if you really dig deep (I will admit this would take some time) there was a super comprehensive list of short and medium scale basses posted some months ago. It had like fifty or so different models listed. I'll see if I can dig it up, but in the meantime enjoy the search. :ninja: :)

Most of the basses in that "short scale bass" thread are short scale, though the big post on P4 does list scale lengths. There's a recent 32" thread also:

If you've got the coin, or the patience to find a used one, the standard scale on the Alembic Spoiler was 32" and they have made many medium scale basses of other models. The Status Mark King with the bizarre Bendwell option is another top level 32" scale bass that isn't cheap.

How do you like that bass? I'm not familiar with them.

i LOVE it it's kinda small but sounds great.like an angry P-bass.but a little rounder.i don't "slap" but these are great for that.the neck is wide but not too thick.phase switch is kinda pointless.they were made in Illinois in the mid 70's.mine is one of the later ones.Grover tuners and a BADASS bridge & DiMarzio's
