I saw those, and they look cool, but aren't they pretty expensive? If I could get one for the same price as a Focus + cab, it might be worth it. Especially since normally I would just use my pedal/DI setup, and run this into the IP only when I needed to be heard without PA.

I have one and I'm glad I bought it. I can play coffee shops to outdoor gigs with ease. I show up with a gig bag and roll the 310 in and I'm done.

IMO, by the time you buy a decent cab (epi 410, Accugroove) plus a nice head you are looking at nearly $2k or more anyway...

I think two IP310 would handle anything smaller than a really large stadium gig w/no PA support.

I've been very happy using a 21012L as my go-to cab for gigs at a huge range of SPL.

My Epi 310UL is an awesome cab and all I use for all my gigs. Has anyone compared it to a 212UL? I like using a single cab (portability) and love epi but wander if the 212 gives out much more when really pushed?.. hmmmm!

I like the Berg stuff as well, but use the IP112/EX112 stack. The 310 is too much for me to move around, and the stack provides some modularity (is that a word? ). I can use the IP112 for 500w or add the EX for 1000w.

My pre is a PJB Bass Buddy, which has a low wattage power amp on board that'll drive the EX just fine for bedroom volume practice. I even did a gig with just a piano and flute this way and sounded pretty good.
