So I had the pleasure of meeting Munjibunga (and the Bass SD staff) at Bass San Diego today. What a good guy. Munji (Mike to us mere mortals,) can apparently be found skulking around BSD on most days when he's not hiding out in Groom Lake, NV.

Munji gave me a tour of the shop, starting with BSD's impressive stock of high end basses. They have a nice selection of Sadowsky, Lull, Dingwall, Nash, Elrick, F Bass, Zon, G&L, Alleva Coppola basses (including the unique "Red Wedding" PJ 5-string) on the walls among Bergantino amps & cabs and GK and Mesa amps. They also stock a nice selection of Darkglass and other effects, Levy straps, strings & other essentials. Lots of great gear. We also discussed our own gear (he's has a wealth of knowledge overall,) and he showed me photos of his own Fodera and Fender basses. Conversation included info about our own groups, Bass Cliff and love of classic rock bands which have great harmonies.

It was great to be surrounded by lots great gear and good people (brings back fond memories....sniff...).

Here's a picture of John, Chris, George, Munji and I:

It was a fun visit, and I hope to return soon. Call these guys if you're in the market for great gear. Check these guys out for yourself: Link Removed

BTW -
I still owe you that root beer, Munji...next time!
