Our band is negotiating the purchase of a PA. The subs are Melhart 2x18's rated at 1000 watts. We are getting both cabinets for $1200 used. Are these subs any good and is that a reasonable price?

Never heard of them, doesn't mean they are not good. Ask these guys www.prosoundweb.com, they will know. They can give you a ton of ideas too.
